In a comprehensive study, Industrial Energies and Green Tech assessed the feasibility of integrating solar thermal energy at Albarakeh Food Factory in Amman, Jordan. The factory, which currently relies on an LPG boiler for steam generation, has significant steam demand and plenty of space for solar installations. The study involved data collection on the factory’s location, products, manufacturing processes, and energy needs. Various solar thermal technologies and suppliers were evaluated, including parabolic trough and Fresnel collectors from companies like Soliterm, Solatom, Protarget, and Absolicon. The assessment highlighted the technical, economic, and environmental benefits of solar steam generation and recommended specific energy efficiency measures to enhance the factory’s sustainability.
